Todd has been admitted to practice law in Maryland state and federal court for over 28 years. He has worked for insurance and surety bonding companies both in-house and as a vendor/consultant for most of that time serving as a Bond Claim Attorney with the Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland (now Zurich Insurance Company North America) and Assistant Vice President of the Bond Claim Department of St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company (f/k/a United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company and n/k/a Travelers).
In June 2001, Todd helped found Kazlow & Fields where he has since served as President. In addition to having written numerous articles for professional publications (American Bar Association, etc.), he has been a featured speaker at several nationwide conferences and continues to participate in key industry associations such as the American Bar Association/TIPS/FSLC, National Bond Claim Association, Surety Claims Institute and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Todd’s spare time is spent enjoying his family, coaching basketball, and attempting to lower his golf handicap. |
Darren Fields

Darren has spent his entire professional career working on behalf of businesses, small and large, with a focus on collections and creditors’ rights. Over the past 14 years Darren has served as collections, subrogation, and defense counsel in private practice, and worked as in-house surety claims counsel for St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland and is active in the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee of the ABA, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Commercial Law League of America, and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.
Darren has been designated a Certified Subrogation Professional by the National Association of Subrogation Professionals after completing a comprehensive course of study and passing a thorough examination. He has also practiced law in Maryland for over 14 years having appeared in district and circuit courts statewide for matters involving commercial litigation. When not regaling his friends with glamorous tales of collection glory, Darren enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons, cheering for his beloved Baltimore Ravens and Maryland Terps, and rekindling his unusual passion for extreme weather. |
